Today I found out that the Shinkansen travels through Okazaki (\u5ca1\u5d0e\u5e02) &#8212; there&#8217;s tracks and all &#8211; I even saw them travelling along the tracks at their breakneck speed.<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-779\" src=\"https:\/\/www.davidandkiyomi.com\/bloodandsoil\/wp-content\/uploads\/2005\/10\/shinkansen.jpg\" alt=\"Shinkansen\" width=\"306\" height=\"213\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.davidandkiyomi.com\/bloodandsoil\/wp-content\/uploads\/2005\/10\/shinkansen.jpg 306w, https:\/\/www.davidandkiyomi.com\/bloodandsoil\/wp-content\/uploads\/2005\/10\/shinkansen-300x209.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 306px) 100vw, 306px\" \/><\/center><br \/>\nWhy didn&#8217;t I know of this before?<\/p>\n<p>Well,the line is not in the centre of town, it&#8217;s, how shall I say this? Out a wee bit (in the sticks), and there&#8217;s no station. Okazaki was being considered for a station but a neighbouring city, Anjo, got that. So all we have here is some tracks way out in the sticks. Still it puts Okazaki on the map.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You learn something every day.
