We didn\u2019t make them nor buy them in the shops here. We bought them back in January when we were in Australia on holiday.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_178\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-178\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-178\" src=\"http:\/\/www.davidandkiyomi.com\/bloodandsoil\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/hotcrossbuns.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.davidandkiyomi.com\/bloodandsoil\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/hotcrossbuns.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.davidandkiyomi.com\/bloodandsoil\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/hotcrossbuns-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.davidandkiyomi.com\/bloodandsoil\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/hotcrossbuns-360x240.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-178\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hotcross Buns<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Normally I\u2019m not too keen on people buying things for Easter straight after Christmas \/ New Year but since hot cross buns aren\u2019t available here (Easter <a title=\"Easter in Japan\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=easter+in+japan\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">isn\u2019t that well known in Japan<\/a>) what could we do? We ended up buying them from the local <a title=\"Woolworths Supermarket\" href=\"https:\/\/www.woolworths.com.au\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Woolworths<\/a> supermarket just before we left, put them in our carry on luggage (they didn\u2019t get squished at all) and pop them all in the freezer upon our return.
